Beth Malone (Betty Jean) is thrilled to be recreating the role she originated last year in the Off-Broadway production of The Marvelous Wonderettes. Beth also originated the role of June Carter Cash in the Broadway's Ring of Fire, created and directed by Richard Maltby. Alison in Bingo! Off-Broadway. Regional: Sister Mary Robert, Sister Act The Musical, director Peter Schneider. Helen, The Break Up Notebook and recently the role of Jane in LA's Center Theatre Group's Post Office. TV credits include What's On, Wanda Does It, Judging Amy, and Reno 911 and many commercials. Tricia Tanguy (Suzy) is thrilled to be playing Suzy, after making her New York debut as one of the "Wonderstudies" in the final Off-Broadway cast of The Marvelous Wonderettes! National Tours: Joseph...Dreamcoat (Narrator), Cats (Grizabella), The Producers (Hold-Me, Touch-Me). Favorite roles include Ellie May Chipley in Showboat (Merry-Go-Round Playhouse) and Violet in Violet. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Tricia has proudly been a national anthem soloist for the Cleveland Indians. BFA in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College. Natalie Wachen (Cindy Lou) – a native Californian, recent New York transplant, and proud member of AEA, Natalie is thrilled to make her Springfield High debut at Theatre Aspen! Favorite roles include Julie in Show Boat, Deena in Dreamgirls, Mary in Jesus Christ Superstar (directed by Janet Miller), and Charlaine in Ain't Mishbehavin' (directed by Ken Page). Internationally, she's performed in Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Mexico, Canada and aboard Disney Cruise Line. Natalie has also had recurring roles on The CW's "90210" and BET's "Hell Date," as well as starring in Sony's TV mini-series, "Buried Alive." She's performed her original comedy at the Hollywood Improv, and sang with the LA Philharmonic to a sold out crowd at Disney Concert Hall. James Ludwig (George) James is proud to return to Aspen, where he played George in Neil Simon’s Chapter Two in the 2009 season. James is the producer and co-host of the wildly popular webseries The Happy Hour Guys (thehappyhourguys.com). Broadway credits: Spamalot (original company/Las Vegas), Little Shop of Horrors, 101 Dalmatians. Off-Broadway credits include: Blue Man Group, De La Guarda, Bubbly Black Girl… at Playwrights Horizons, and the original company of the now cult classic musical john & jen. Regionally, James has played at the Guthrie Theatre, Arena Stage, Cleveland PlayHouse, and Ford’s Theatre to name just a few. Film and Television appearances include Ghost Town, Lipstick Jungle, Law & Order, The Happy Hour Guys, Bury The Evidence, and Chapelle’s Show. James also owns his own production company, Back40 Films, which has produced over 100 short films since 2003. He has written screenplays and teleplays for: A Face in the Rock, The Perfect Pitch, The National Actors Draft and The Happy Hour Guys. James is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.
Joan Hess (Doris) Joan is so happy to be back on this stage as she had such a wonderful time as Jennie in last summer's Chapter Two and Rona in Spelling Bee. Thank you Jay and Paige! Recent Television: HBO's award-winning series Flight of the Conchords (Jessica). Broadway: Mamma Mia (Tanya), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Sophia; Christine & Muriel cover), Bells are Ringing (Bridgette; Ella cover), Kiss Me Kate (Edie; Hattie cover), Crazy for You (Patsy). Joan has produced and hosted live television, served as a film script supervisor, continues to perform with symphonies all over the world from the Hong Kong Philharmonic to the Houston Symphony, and toured South Africa, England and Italy on Travel Channel's Fantasy Rails for Millionaires with her wonderful husband, David Hess. THE TRUE STORY OF THE 3 LITTLE PIGS!
Zoe Levine (Prosecuting Attorney Julia) just finished her freshmen year at Aspen High School; she is 15 years old and has been dedicated to the performing arts since the age of 5. Zoe has been in many shows all around the valley with companies such as Theatre Aspen, Jayne Gottlieb Productions and Aspen Community Theatre. Some roles include Grease (Rizzo), A Chorus Line (Val), Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Les Miserables (Eponine), The Sound of Music (Maria) and 13 (Lucy). Thank you to her family and friends for all their support! Break a leg cast and crew! Flynn Holman (Honorable Judge Prudence) is currently a sophomore at AHS. She has been in many productions with companies including Theatre Aspen, JGP, ACT and Stagedoor Manor. Her favorite roles include Anita in West Side Story, Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun and most recently, Kendra in 13. Flynn is so excited to be part of The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs! and would like to thank her parents and the wonderful cast and crew. Chris Carson (Alexander T. Wolf) grew up in Tampa, Florida and began his career in film and commercials at the age of eight. However, his true passion is live theatre and some of his favorite roles have included: Bugsy MaloneInto the Woods (Baker) and Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat (Joseph). Most recently, he appeared as Hugo in Bye Bye Birdie. When Chris is not performing, he can be found behind the camera writing, directing and editing projects for his high school. Chris has spent the last five summers in Aspen and is thrilled to be a part of the Theatre Aspen 2010 summer season.
Lindsay Nelson (Nancy McGill) is currently 14 years old and is proud to return to the main stage. She has participated in many Theatre Aspen productions as well as Jayne Gottieb Productions, operas and school plays. Lindsay made her professional theater debut two years ago playing the role of JoJo in Seussical. Some of Lindsay’s favorite roles include Teen Angel in Grease, Jemima in Cats, Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods, JoJo in Seussical, and most recently Patrice in 13 the Musical. Lindsay hopes to continue theater in high school and in many more years to come.
Kidd-Duhe Solomon (Billy Shears, Martha) is a Freshman at Aspen High School and is very excited to be working with Theater Aspen again. He has always been interested in theater and is thrilled to be given an opportunity to work in a professional environment. Favorite roles he has played are Anthony, in Sweeney Todd and Lumiere, in Disney's Beauty and The Beast.
Luke Seamans (Maxwell, Rocky) moved to Aspen from California and is a sophomore at AHS. Luke is thankful to be working with his friends at Theatre Aspen again this summer. He performed with Theatre Aspen in “13,” Sweeney Todd and Zombie Prom. He was part of the ACT production of The Music Man and portrayed Cosmo from "Singin' in the Rain" and Mike in "A Chorus Line" with Gottlieb Bartley Productions.
