Dear Friend of Theatre Aspen,
We have BIG news! After eighteen memorable years in our loyal tent in Rio Grande Park, we are making plans to raise the "roof" on a new and improved home for professional theatre and theatre education for the Aspen and Roaring Fork Valley community. The current tent has undergone two major repairs, myriad wind and hail storms, multiple floods, and is also the home to a few of the park's friendly raccoons. Now is the time to help elevate our theatre to new heights!
Local Aspen business, Charles Cunniffe Architects is partnering with Theatre Aspen to create the new aesthetic for our 28th season. The 2011 venue will include an expanded stage and audience area, a more welcoming lobby, and many more new additions and improvements!
Building on the momentum of our strongest season to date -- with local support greater than ever, sell-out performances for our four major productions night after night, and Theatre Aspen School participation bursting at the seams -- we ask for your continued commitment in supporting a cherished community treasure.
Our goal is $1 million. Aspirations of this size require support at all levels, which is why Theatre Aspen is offering naming opportunities for gifts big AND small. It takes a village to raise...the "roof." Help us build a new home for professional theatre in Aspen; we promise to continue enriching our community with first-class entertainment!
