Fun In Theatre - Completed!
June 14-24, M-TH, performance June 24

 This two-week session is an exciting introduction to all aspects of the theatre world.  We work as a team to put together an eclectic showcase of our students' favorite work.  This session is great for the child who wants to get an early start on stage! Taught by Colleen Finnegan and Erin Bair.

 

Sharpen Your Skills - Completed!
June 7-24, M-TH, performance June 24
$500 (early registration ends May 15th)
ages 8-12 | 9a-3p

This skills-based program encompasses acting, improvisation, theatre games, voice, dance and teamwork.  Experience or no experience, this camp is perfect for the eager child wishing to embark on his or her theatre journey. Taught by local favorite Lynn Aliya!

 

Clowning Around - REGISTRATION CLOSED
July 5-15, M-TH, performance July 15

ages 5-7 | 9a-3p
We explore several aspects of the performing arts, with an emphasis on clowning.  We incorporate music, movement, clowning, games (including pantomime) and showcase our work on the final day of camp.  Join the fun! Taught by Erin Bair and Tammy Baar!

Take a magical tour through the tastiest factory on earth with Charlie, Violet, Mike, Veruca and Augustus as they meet the world famous "Candy Man" on his quest to find an heir. Working with theatre professionals, students will have a "sweet" time performing this classic musical! Directed by Tammy Baar!


Summer Conservatory: Disney's Aladdin - see performances this week!
June 30 - July 25, M-TH, performances July 23, 24, 25
$900 (early registration ends May 15th)
ages 12-18 | 9a-4p

IMPORTANT AUDITION INFORMATION: Auditions to be accepted into the Summer Conservatory will be held on June 5. Out-of-town applicants please send your dvd or YouTube link, etc. by Friday June 4. You will know if you have been accepted to the Conservatory by the following week. Final casting decisions will be made on the first day of camp so out-of-town students will have a chance to be seen in person.

Advanced-level training by audition or recommendation only.*  Directed by Theatre Aspen's new Director of Education Graham Northrup, the Summer Conservatory  offers students the opportunity to study with artists and educators in the field, from across the United States.

This year we take a journey to Agrabah, City of Enchantment, where every beggar has a story and every camel has a tail! All of your favorite characters are here in this stage adaptation of the Disney hit, including Aladdin, Jasmine and of course, the Genie. Filled with music, magic, mayhem and flying carpet rides, audiences' spirits will soar with excitement.

Dramatic Voyages - REGISTRATION CLOSED!

Build confidence and enjoy creating characters through music, movement and storytelling.  Students will experience voice, dance, musical instruments and acting, culminating in the creation of their own adventure story.  Lots of fun! Taught by Erin Bair.

ages 8-12 (Just for Tweens), 13-18 (Just for Teens) | 9a-3p

Bring on the paparazzi! Building on last year's popular Acting for Film and TV class, this year students get to make a movie with industry professionals! Learn the technical aspects of working on camera; everything from hitting marks and camera angles to professional behavior and the actor's responsibility on a set.  Discover the terminology of working in film and television.  Students will work with television and commercial scripts and gain on-camera experience. Then rehearse, shoot and wrap up the camp with a red carpet premiere of your movie! Each student will receive a DVD of the movie. Taught by returning favorites Beth Malone and Peggy Mundinger, David Ledingham, and a production company, Popcorn Media!

 

Aspen's Got Young Talent is back!
Get ready to shine! Aspen's brightest young stars dazzle in this popular showcase on August 1. Auditions for kids 10-18 will be announced. No fee for participation.
